Camp starts at 2pm on Tuesday October 3. We'll be departing from The Point Community Church Office (underneath coles @ lighthouse plaza) as soon as everyone has arrived. Please have lunch before camp and bring some afternoon-tea for the trip.
To get to Scotts Head and back we will be driving. All drivers will have their full license (no P-platers will be driving kids without parental consent) as per our Pointy-J policy. We won't have enough seats between the leaders and will need some parents to drive, so if you can help with transport, please indicate below (it would be really appreciated!).
We will be returning at approximately 3:30 on Friday October 6.
Our campsite is wonderful with the beach metres from the door. The Youth will be sleeping in secure cabins with new ensuite bathrooms. All swimming will be supervised by a surf bronze medallion leader, and we will run through water safety during the camp (please indicate your child's swimming ability below). You can have a look at the accommodation here.
Day-to-day: Enough clothes for four days, socks & undies, a jumper, PJ’s, shoes. Also bring one set of 'messy clothes'.
Sleeping/Hygiene: Bring a towel, sleeping bag and a pillow, toiletries, bible & pen.
Swimming: Thongs, swimmers, rashy, sunscreen, and a beach towel (no speedos/bikinis please).
Theme Night: A 'tropical' costume (e.g. hawaiian shirts, grass skirts etc)
Others: We have free time, feel free to bring a skateboard/scooter, board/card game, musical instrument etc.
Just remember we’re only going away for 4 days, not 4 weeks - don't go overboard.
No illegal drugs, cigarettes or alcohol will be permitted on camp. If anyone is seen having these on camp their parent/guardians will be asked to come and pick them up and take them home immediately.
