Camp This Year

This year we are very excited for Pointy J Camp! We are staying at the same place as last year's camp (Scotts Head Christian Youth Centre). A wonderful campsite for us to enjoy and a safe place to play.

Here's Some info about camp:
The leaders for the weekend are the people who lead your youth normally at Pointy J.

If you need to speak to a leader during camp please call John (0439 023 953). Your youth are welcome to bring their mobile phones on camp and can call you when they would like to. We will ask them to keep them in their bags during the day.

We will have camp cooks/House Parents who will feed us delicious food all week long. If your child gets hungry during the day, fruit will always be available from the kitchen.

THE COST

Cost of Pointy J Camp is $165. This covers 3 nights accommodation, 4 days food, and activities. We generally don't have part time attendance at camp, but if for some reason a youth is only able to make it some of the time, please contact me for a slightly adjusted cost). There is a reduced cost for camp at $145 pp for additional siblings.

To pay, please direct deposit to the details below, tagged "Child's Surname - PJ CAMP" (e.g. "J Hanlen - PJ CAMP"). You can pay for multiple siblings together, we will work that out based on the Surname and amount you have paid.

THE TRAVEL DETAILS

Camp starts on Friday September 28th, and is at Scotts Head Christian Youth Centre (7 Banksia Cres, Scotts Head). We leave Port at 4pm sharp. We'll be departing from The Point Community Church Office (underneath Coles @ Lighthouse Plaza). For those finishing school at 3pm this will mean a busy hour getting ready and dropped off at the church office, but we're unable to push things back any later for the sake of the camp timetable. Feel free to BYO afternoon tea for the trip!

To get to Scotts Head and back we will be driving. All drivers will have their full license (no P-platers will be driving kids without parental consent) as per our Pointy J policy. We won't have enough seats between the leaders and will need some parents to drive, so if you can help with transport, please indicate below (it would be really appreciated!).

For the return trip, we'll arrive back at Lighthouse Plaza at approximately 2:30pm on Monday October 1st.

THE ACCOMMODATION

Our campsite is wonderful with the beach metres from the door. The Youth will be sleeping in secure cabins with ensuite bathrooms. All swimming will be supervised, and we will run through water safety during the camp (please indicate your child's swimming ability below). You can have a look at the accommodation here
